What Is a Precinct Chair?
A Precinct Chair is a local volunteer position within the Republican Party.
As Precinct 45 Chair, I focus on
- Sharing accurate information about local elections and voting
- Communicating party meetings and events
- Helping neighbors understand how and where to participate
- Being a point of contact for questions or concerns
Why I Want to Serve as Precinct Chair
Three years ago, I began seeking to understand what really happens behind the scenes of the GOP at the local and state level. A friend from church who was already involved took the time to guide me, and that one person made all the difference. I began learning facts instead of relying on television, social media, or headlines.
After attending my first precinct convention I realized how much there was to learn. I started showing up— grassroots groups, events, having conversations—and with each one, I became more informed and more confident as a voter. I now know who I’m voting for and why.
I’ve also learned that while Collin County and Texas lean conservative, our values are not guaranteed. At the local and state level, they remain fragile if we don’t stay engaged.
Because one person helped me to know how to get involved and answer my questions, I want to be that person for someone else in Fairview. This isn’t about me—it’s about strengthening our community, protecting our values, and preserving them for future generations. Will you join me?
